About the College and The Melos Foundation

Green Point Christian College’s mission is to equip students for a productive life in which they freely engage in redemptive action in our broken world, being agents of positive change. We do this through a holistic approach to education, grounded in a Christian Biblical perspective. This is an education that focuses on the academic, spiritual, social/emotional and physical aspects of who we are as human beings, created by God to worship Him and serve the world.

As the Director of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) with Green Point Christian College (GPCC) you will have the opportunity to support the Executive Leadership Team in the delivery of this holistic education. You will be a people leader with strong communication skills, drawing together the ICT advisory team and the College’s ICT staff to ensure GPCC stays at the forefront of educational delivery.

GPCC is looking for an experienced ICT strategist to drive vision and innovation for the college’s infrastructure, developing and implementing strategies that align with the college’s business goals, purpose and mission.

GPCC is the founding member of the Melos Foundation. For the right candidate, you will have the future opportunity to take on the Directorship of ICT for the Melos Foundation. Here you will oversight ICT strategy and operations across all member schools. In conjunction with the ICT team, your ability to develop a scalable multi-site ICT strategy, plan and deliver large scale educational systems and infrastructure, and provide remote management and support will be critical to the success of the foundation and its member schools.

As the Director of ICT, your Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Demonstrate Christian Leadership and Commitment
  • Provide strategy, planning and oversight for all areas of ICT.
  • Leadership and staff management of the ICT team.
  • Ensure service delivery of all ICT activities within the College.

Essential Skills and Experiences:

  • Active involvement in a local Evangelical church with a Minister’s reference;
  • Ongoing commitment to the College’s Purpose, Mission, and Statement of Faith;
  • Commitment to setting an example to students, staff and parents in matters of faith and conduct;
  • Recognised qualifications in either Computer Science, Information Technology, IT Project Management, or other IT related field and 5+ years’ experience in a senior IT role within an organisation of similar size and complexity.
  • Experience developing and delivering ICT strategies aligned to business goals, purpose and mission;
  • Ability to apply both a commercial and educational perspective when considering technology selection and deployment;
  • Experience in leading and developing ICT teams focusing on client satisfaction, service delivery and alignment to industry standards;
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience in the governance of ICT including knowledge of relevant standards and industry practices, including cybersecurity and risk.
  • Strong project management/delivery skills with proven capacity to conceptualize, implement and manage complex projects.
  • Operational knowledge of complex networks incorporating storage, servers, communications and desktop environment.
