Volunteer Legal Adviser (Remote – Bi-Monthly Meetings) Join our mission to support vulnerable pregnant women and newborns

About Us We are a small Australian based charity dedicated to advocating for and supporting vulnerable pregnant women in Kenya. Through community outreach, we work to ensure that every woman receives the care, dignity, and support she deserves during and after pregnancy.
The Role We are seeking a Volunteer Legal adviser to join our team and contribute legal expertise that guides our international efforts. This role involves remote participation in virtual meetings every two months, with occasional availability for ad-hoc consultation.
This is a unique opportunity for a qualified legal professional to lend their skills to a cause with real-life impact.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice on issues such as charity governance, safeguarding, and compliance.
- Draft and review internal policies, partnership agreements, and public-facing materials to ensure legal integrity.
- Support risk management and ethical decision-making.
- Participate in 1–2hour online meetings every two months.
- Be accessible via email or call for occasional advice as needed.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience or strong interest in nonprofit/charity law.
- Clear communicator and thoughtful collaborator.
- Comfortable working remotely.
Nice to Have
- Experience working with non for profits or international organizations.
- Familiarity with safeguarding and privacy legislation (ACNC/ ASIC).
