Job Summary
The Financial Discipleship Regional Coordinator is responsible for equipping and empowering (identifying, recruiting, training, and maintaining) a team of faithful, available, teachable volunteer facilitators to help people faithfully living by God’s financial principles in every area of their lives and help others grow in their financial discipleship journey.
The Financial Discipleship Regional Coordinator is also an active trainer and facilitator of Compass’ products and services, in concert with Financial Discipleship Facilitators and directly with end consumers.
This position impacts lives for eternity by raising up Christ-Centered, Bible-Based disciples who both model and multiply finances God’s way (in themselves, as well as in and through others).
This position has leadership responsibility for Financial Discipleship Facilitators, who are primarily volunteer staff.
Responsibilities and Duties
The Regional Coordinator’s responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to:
- Develop and implement local Financial Discipleship Strategy & build volunteer team
- Identify, nurture, build and lead a team of Financial Discipleship Facilitators
- Grow the market, scale ministry outreach, make and multiply Financial Discipleship Facilitators
- Onboard and guide Financial Discipleship Facilitators within their area of calling filtered through the Compass Core Learning Framework and aligned to their interests, availability, and gifts
- Where applicable, directly train Financial Discipleship Facilitators to teach Compass financial discipleship courses
- Teach Compass materials and finances God’s way where called to serve

Biblically sound and Christ-Centered
Demonstrated leadership ability to identify, nurture, develop, and multiply talent
Has a heart and passion for discipleship and handling finances God’s way – desires to raise up and equip Financial Discipleship Facilitators
Goal-oriented, self-directed and motivated. Works independently
Ability to multitask and balance responsibilities
Personally committed to an ongoing Financial Discipleship Journey
Team Player and Servant Leader who puts the needs of the organization and financial disciple first
Gifted in both leading and teaching, including demonstrated Financial Discipleship teaching ability
Education and Experience
Demonstrated experience of faithful involvement leading and developing volunteer teams
Experience and track record in Christian ministry and with non-profit organizations preferred
Participation in one or more of the Compass financial discipleship courses
Self-directed with demonstrated ability to accomplish objectives through others
Role & Reporting
Part time or full-time volunteer Compass – finances God’s way position
Mentored by: Compass Australia Board or designee
Direct Reports: Financial Discipleship Facilitators
Travel: May be required
Responsible for raising own support (salary and expenses) as needed (fundraising training provided if needed). A small retainer is offered for up to three years.
Negotiable depending on experience and regional network relationships - Expenses covered up to first three years.
