Finance Manager
Cooloola Christian College is a co-educational P-12 Christian School of approximately 500 students located in Gympie in the Greater Sunshine Coast area of Queensland.
The College is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced person to join the Finance Team for the position of Finance Manager. The successful applicant will report to the Business Manager and will work closely with College staff as they ensure the smooth financial operation of the College and the effective administration of its financial accounts.
Key requirements for the position include:
- Degree in Accounting or Finance; CA/CPA is desirable
- Demonstrated experience in financial management, preferably within an educational or NFP context
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail, combined with big-picture thinking
- A collaborative approach with the ability to communicate clearly and tactfully with non-finance stakeholders
- A sense of purpose and pride in delivering work that benefits others
The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate a strong commitment to the ethos of Christian Education and a willingness to promote and support Christian values. Applicants must comply with Child Protection (Blue Card) and other requirements for Non-Government Schools in Queensland.
It is desirable for candidates to have experience in the financial and operational management of independent schools.
