Engagement Lead

  • A leadership role with a progressive global mission organisation
  • Lead a team designing and delivering exceptional supporter experiences
  • Full-Time, with flexible working options

For over 100 years The Leprosy Mission Australia (TLMA) has partnered with Australians to ensure that people affected by leprosy across the world get the cure, care, and restoration they need to live life in all its fullness. As part of a global network comprised of 30 Members, they are working together to reach their goal of zero leprosy transmission by 2035. The Leprosy Mission extends the hand of ‘mateship’ to those affected by leprosy, disability and other marginalised people. Their supported programs are on the ground in India, Nepal, Nigeria, Indonesia, and Timor Leste.

Reporting to the CEO, this newly created Engagement Lead position plays a vital role in providing a superior experience for existing supporters as well as attracting new supporters. Based in the Box Hill, Melbourne office, the Engagement Lead will work collaboratively across teams to support campaigns, appeals, and key events, driving excellence in supporter care.

This will include:

  • Developing initiatives, programs and processes to grow and nurture meaningful engagement through fundraising activities, community events, volunteer development, customer service functions and new activities.
  • Managing the Supporter Care team for both inbound and outboard calling, supporter journeys development, and event management.
  • Helping to grow the reputation and attractiveness of The Leprosy Mission Australia as it pursues its goal to be one of Australia’s central mission agencies for the world’s most outcast and neglected people.

Integral to providing meaningful supporter experiences across all touch points, this role will provide strategic oversight across donors of all levels, sponsors, volunteers, churches and social enterprise customers. Leading with a commitment to continuous improvement and growth, this role will effectively align supporter care initiatives with the goals of the overall organisation.
