Events Officer (Part-Time, 3 Days/Week)

Brisbane School of Theology is seeking a part-time Events Officer (3 days/week) to help us plan and deliver meaningful, well-run events that serve students, alumni, churches, and our wider community.

We’re a Christ-centred, interdenominational Bible college, accredited by the Australian University of Theology, and committed to equipping Christians for a lifetime of service. For over 80 years, we’ve been forming Christian leaders for ministry, mission, and life — and our events play a key role in this work.

As the Events Officer, you’ll coordinate and execute a wide range of events, including Public lectures, Conferences and workshops, Open Days and recruitment events, Alumni gatherings and special community events.

You’ll be responsible for end-to-end event delivery — from planning and logistics to communication, set-up, on-the-day coordination, and post-event review. You’ll work closely with our Marketing Coordinator to ensure our events are meeting our strategic goals and contribute to a team culture that is thoughtful, relational, and grounded in gospel values.

This role plays an important part in BST’s strategic growth, expanding our capacity to connect meaningfully with students, supporters, alumni, and churches through well-executed events.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Demonstrate a proven capacity to plan, organise, and deliver high-quality events.
  • Demonstrate ability to manage timelines and meet deadlines.
  • Have a strong eye for detail and a heart for hospitality.
  • Work collaboratively across teams and with external stakeholders.
  • Be proactive, adaptable, and able to problem solve.
  • Communicate clearly, effectively, and relationally.

The successful applicant will demonstrate personal character and convictions that align with BST’s Christ-centred mission. Experience in event coordination, logistics, or project management will be highly regarded.

Role Details:

Part-time (3 days/week)

Reports to: Principal (with operational direction from the Marketing Coordinator)

Location: BST campus, 1 Cross Street, Toowong
Flexible work arrangements are available by negotiation with the Principal.

Some evening and weekend work will be required depending on the event calendar.

Salary & Conditions

Starting salary is $43,724 (pro rata, Educational Services (Post-Secondary Education) Award 2010, Level 6.1), with annual reviews based on performance.

How to Apply

Please submit your CV, a cover letter (no more than 2 pages) addressing your suitability for the role, and the names of three referees to the Principal at info@bst.qld.edu.au

Applications close Friday, 18 July, 2025.
