We are currently seeking a reliable, proactive, and skilled Maintenance Person to join our dynamic team at our beautiful Tamborine Mountain location.
Your Role
You will be responsible for the general upkeep, repairs, and preventative maintenance of the site’s buildings, amenities, and equipment. This is a hands-on role where your work ensures our facilities remain safe, functional, and welcoming for all guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs across the property (plumbing, carpentry, painting, etc.)
- Grounds and garden upkeep, including mowing, trimming, and rubbish removal
- Maintain and monitor building systems such as lighting, hot water, and fire safety equipment
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner
- Liaise with external contractors as needed
- Conduct regular inspections to identify hazards or areas needing improvement
Requirements
- Proven experience in property maintenance or a related trade
- Sound knowledge of general maintenance practices
- Ability to work autonomously and manage priorities
- Good physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in varied conditions
- A commitment to workplace health and safety
- A practical, can-do attitude and strong problem-solving skills
- Current driver’s licence
- Willingness to obtain a Blue Card (Working with Children Check) if not already held
Desirable:
- Trade qualifications (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, etc.)
- Experience in similar residential, educational, or hospitality settings
