We are seeking applications from suitable candidates who are passionate about mission, enthusiastic about Interserve’s distinctives and values, and dedicated to the mobilisation and care of mission workers.
About Interserve:
Interserve is a global community of ordinary Christians seeking to make Christ known amongst the peoples of Asia and the Arab world. We are involved in bringing tangible love, social change and spiritual transformation to lives and communities. By God’s grace, people encounter the gospel as we share our lives, skills and experience.
Although in many places the church is young, persecuted or under-resourced, we intentionally partner with the church – serving together, training, mentoring and encouraging. We walk alongside our brothers and sisters as they disciple and love their neighbours. Learn more about Interserve at interserve.org.au.
About the role:
The Onboarding Manager is responsible for overseeing the discernment and onboarding journey for new Interserve mission candidates. Their work focuses on walking with candidates through the processes of preparing to serve in a cross-cultural overseas context. The role is dedicated to preparing candidates well so they can be sustainable and effective in life and ministry, serving alongside others with a community mission mindset.
The Onboarding Manager role is both relational and details-oriented, drawing on skills such as discipleship, coaching and people management. Therefore, experience in human resource administration, mentoring, pastoral care, and cross-cultural engagement are an advantage.
A coordinator-level role is alternatively available for those with less experience who have a strong interest and passion for cross-cultural mission and Interserve’s vision and values.
The Onboarding Manager is part of Interserve’s Australian National Office team and relates to other members of Interserve’s international fellowship.
How to apply:
The job description, Interserve’s Statement of Faith, Annual Report and other employment details (including remuneration) are available from: Jane Fairweather at jane@interserve.org.au
Please send an expression of interest of no more than 500 words and your CV to Jane by 15th July 2025.
Those submitting an Expression of Interest may be invited for further conversations about joining Interserve’s National Office staff team. |
