Churches of Christ, Mission, Kenmore

Permanent, Full-time Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Fundraising Lead to oversee the strategic direction and implementation of our fundraising efforts at Churches of Christ, and to cultivate a robust culture of fundraising within the organisation.

About the role

As part of the Mission team, you will draw on our rich faith-based heritage to help share the inspiring story of Churches of Christ. Working across our entire organisation, you'll play a key role in gathering and sharing stories of how we are enabling people to live hope-filled, meaningful lives.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Developing and evaluating fundraising strategies for various campaigns and projects;
  • Identifying, securing, and retaining supporters and donors aligned with our values;
  • Leading the creation of a financial growth plan through fundraising, sponsorships, and other gifting opportunities;
  • Reporting on initiatives, analysing outcomes, and ensuring legislative compliance;
  • Implementing and managing systems for campaign execution and donor management in collaboration with shared services.

About You

You are someone who is looking to lead the organisation into the fundraising space; taking the Fundraising Strategy and implementing this from the ground up. As a self-starter, you are able to work within a diverse organisation and with multiple stakeholders to achieve outcomes.

You will also have the following:

  • Degree qualification in fundraising, business, marketing or other relevant qualification;
  • Applied knowledge of relevant legislation in relation to fundraising, grant and funding tenders;
  • Five years' experience, ideally in a mid-senior level role, in the fundraising sector;
  • Experience in fundraising and the facilitation of partnerships and financial sponsors, ideally in the not-for-profit sector;
  • Faith-based NFP fundraising experience would be a particular advantage.

About Us

We are one of Australia's largest and most diverse not-for-profit organisations, with a legacy of care and compassion spanning over 140 years. Through our faith-based mission, the church and organisation work together to provide holistic support across family services, community housing, retirement living, home care, and residential aged care.

Importantly, you will be someone who closely aligns with our organisational values of: Unconditional Love, Continual Innovation, Mutual Trust, Wise Stewardship and Safety.

Employee Benefits:

By being such a large organisation, we are also able to offer a range of compelling benefits. Including but not limited to:

  • Salary-packaging benefits that can increase your take-home pay;
  • Five (5) weeks of annual leave;
  • Employee Assistance Program;
  • Discounts through our large network of retail partners including: JB Hi-Fi, The Good Guys, Goodlife Health Clubs, Bupa Health, Plus many more.
