Our Client, Churches of Christ Vic/Tas (CCVT) is a movement of more than 130 Communities of Hope and Compassion spread across Victoria and Tasmania. CCVT Inc is the coordinating body that exists to support these diverse communities of Hope and Compassion in their God Given and God driven calling to their local neighborhoods.

The Board are now seeking to appoint a relational leader to build on the solid foundation that has been put in place by their predecessor and bring with them their own set of unique skills to lead, inspire and grow the organization in Victoria and Tasmania. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Officer will provide spiritual, strategic and missional leadership to the Churches of Christ in VIC and Tasmania (CCVT), fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation and faithful presence in their communities.  You will also be responsible for;

  • Champion the strategic vision and mission of CCVT, ensuring alignment with the Boards direction.
  • Lead and support the Executive Team to deliver on key strategic priorities.
  • Model collaborative leadership and foster trust and shared responsibility with key stakeholders and volunteers.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with Churches of all sizes, types and locations.
  • Ensure governance, risk, policy and compliance obligations are met.
  • In conjunction with the Finance and Operations team, provide general oversight of the Operating responsibilities, ensuring robust financial management, legal compliance, HR systems and administration effectiveness.
  • Being a compelling communicator of vision and values.

You will be an inspirational leader who is strongly aligned to the values and mission of CCVT, who has the proven ability to inspire others, to build excellent relationships with key stakeholders, including church leaders and key stakeholders and has a track record of success in senior leadership roles where you have built, led and mentored highly effective teams.

The successful candidate will possess an entrepreneurial orientation coupled with an ability to build capacity to sustain ongoing growth, as well as possessing a good mix between strategic and operational skills. You’re highly organized, have sound business and financial acumen, possess excellent people skills, are preferably tertiary qualified in Theology and have a real passion for supporting the local Church.

Your knowledge and understanding of the Christian Church landscape in VIC/TAS will be vital to this role as will your deep understanding of and alignment with Churches of Christ ethos. This is one of those great opportunities for someone who wants to make a real difference and use their skill and talent to transform lives by helping to build healthy communities of hope and compassion through local Churches and associated entities.
