Position Overview
The Relationship Specialist is directly responsible to the National Director of Growth and will work closely with the National Ambassadors to manage and build relationships with general-mid-tier partners. The ACL Relationship Specialist will acquire, reactivate and foster partnerships with key and prospective supporters to generate income. The successful candidate as part of the Growth team, will ensure that ACL’s work is delivered excellently, ethically and in accord with our core values of courage, conviction and compassion.
Key Responsibilities
- Make ‘thank you’ partner calls to mid-level donors
- Establish meaningful engagement, and proactive conversations with all lapsed and lapsing donors in the portfolio at least once every three months
- Assist Growth team in meeting or exceeding annual fundraising goals and personal KPIs, and reporting on those activities regularly
- Identifying key prospects, as well as cultivating engaging relationships with existing donors that could be moved up to National Ambassadors, DoG or CEO, utilising moves management strategies, pipelines and stewardship plans
- Understanding and articulating ACL’s advocacy purpose
- Support the Growth team in organising and managing logistics for key events and major donor Engagement Events
- Reporting back on investments made by key partners to continue developing trusting relationships
- Where possible, researching prospects and developing draft profiles, to assist with any administrative tasks relevant to Growth space Collating and managing data
- Recording and providing accurate summary and analysis of activity
- Managing the appropriate stewardship of partners
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Qualifications & Experience
- A formal qualification is not required for this role, but qualifications in business and fundraising will be considered.
- Previous experience working in a call centre or tele-sales or sales, the non-profit sector and/or in a fundraising role.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully coordinate multi-functional or diverse areas.
- Administrative or customer service experience
Skills
- Knowledge of fundraising strategies, techniques, and best practices is essential.
- Ability to effectively communicate with donors, stakeholders, and team members is essential.
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills to engage donors and cultivate partnerships is essential.
- Ability to work in a team and contribute ideas to plan and execute fundraising campaigns and events is essential.
- Ability to learn or basic skills in CRMS and Excel is essential.

Hours
Part-time permanent (4 days weekly), fewer days may be considered for the right candidate.
Annual Salary
Negotiable based on qualifications and experience.
