Education Support Officer (ESO)

Portside Christian College

12 month contract with possible extension 

Full time position, part time negotiable 

$70,000 – $71,000 per year

 

Portside Christian College is a thriving ELC–Year 12 school located in the western suburbs of Adelaide. We are seeking a caring and dedicated Education Support Officer (ESO) to join our Inclusive Education team in 2026.

This rewarding role supports students across Primary year levels with diverse learning needs in literacy, numeracy and social-emotional development. If you are passionate about supporting young people to learn and flourish in a Christ-centred community, we would love to hear from you.

 

About the role

Reporting to the Inclusion Support Coordinator, you will:

  • Provide small group and 1:1 learning support for students with diverse needs
  • Assist with literacy and numeracy intervention programs
  • Support students with social and emotional learning
  • Work collaboratively with classroom teachers and support staff
  • Build positive, respectful relationships with students and families
  • Model Christian values and actively contribute to College life

 

About you

You will be an enthusiastic team contributor who:

  • Has experience supporting students with additional learning needs
  • Communicates clearly and compassionately
  • Is flexible, organised and able to manage priorities
  • Uses initiative and works well as part of a team
  • Is confident with digital learning tools
  • Is committed to Christian education and shares our College values

 

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Certificate or Diploma in Education Support (highly desirable)
  • Working with Children Check (SA)
  • First Aid – BELS or equivalent (HLTAID010 minimum)
  • RRHAN-EC Training (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect)
  • A committed Christian with active church involvement
  • Agreement with the Portside Christian College Statement of Faith
