Excel Trainer
OM Australia www.om.org
OM Mission Statement
We want to see Vibrant Communities of Jesus Followers Among the Least Reached
OM operates in over 120 countries focussed on sharing the Gospel with those who have never heard it before as well as discipling new believers.
The Role
We are looking for someone who enjoys sharing their knowledge, and hopefully passion, for Excel with others. We are seeking a person who can coordinate and lead online, interactive, training sessions. These sessions will be offered specifically to finance staff, but we expect others will be interested to join also. Most of our 200+ finance staff have had no Excel training, yet use it most days.
Key Responsibilities
- run regular online Teams calls, sharing a range of Excel skills and providing an opportunity for participant questions
- reply to emailed Excel queries from participants
- have the occasional one on one call with staff providing Excel support
We know staff are more likely to attend live training where they can ask questions than watch a video. We see these sessions as an introduction to the world of Excel and will encourage them to explore more widely the endless training opportunities on YouTube and the like.
Skills
You should have
- strong Excel skills although you don’t have to be a super user
- clear spoken English
- training skills
- be culturally aware
- patience with beginners
Time Commitment and Work Hours
We are seeking 2 to 3 hours per week on average although it would not need to be every week. We are planning to offer these sessions fortnightly however this can be varied based upon the level of interest. We are very happy to be flexible with regards the persons other commitments.
As we have staff in many countries it would be great if you can have some flexibility when the training is delivered. Australian afternoons are suitable for most of Asia. Australian mornings work well for North and South America.
