Invest in the next generation of Christian leaders

Do you love seeing lives transformed through Christian camping ministry?

Do you have a passion for seeing young adults grow in their faith and develop their ministry knowledge and skills?

CRU has an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and talented Ministry Coordinator to join our ministry team.

This is a varied and rewarding role where you will help equip and mentor the next generation of ministry workers. You will be primarily involved in planning and delivering competency-based ministry training, supporting student progress and mentoring emerging leaders. You will also have the opportunity to be actively involved in camps, including attending and leading camps alongside other members of the CRU team.

While there is an important administrative component to the role, you will enjoy a great variety of ministry opportunities across training, mentoring, pastoral care and hands-on camp ministry.

About CRU

CRU® is a Bible-based, interdenominational Christian youth organisation whose mission is to help students in independent schools across Australia know the good news of Jesus, nurture Christians, encourage church membership and train young leaders for a lifetime of servant leadership.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about investing in the next generation and equipping them to serve Jesus and others.

Interested in joining our team? Watch this video to discover how CRU is making a difference in the lives of young people.

About you

We are particularly keen to hear from people who have:

  • A mature and consistent Christian faith, with active involvement in a Christian church committed to sound biblical teaching, demonstrating a commitment to Christian ministry and service;
  • Full agreement with CRU’s Statement of Belief;
  • A commitment to and belief in the value of camping as an environment for evangelism, pastoral care and developing leaders;
  • Experience managing and/or mentoring staff or volunteers, together with experience providing pastoral care or counsel in a professional or volunteer ministry context;
  • Experience working with school-aged children and young people, including through camps, children’s or youth ministries, games, sports and/or outdoor activities;
  • Previous experience in a similar role within ministry, education, or training and assessment; and
  • Qualifications in ministry, theology, training and assessment, education or a related field.

Why join CRU?

This is an opportunity to do more than coordinate training. You will invest in people, develop emerging Christian leaders and contribute to ministry that has a lasting impact on young people.

If you are passionate about seeing young adults grow in their faith, develop as leaders and use their gifts to serve others, we would love to hear from you.
