Property Maintenance Assistant - CRU® Galston Gorge

CRU® is seeking a dedicated Property Maintenance Assistant to join our Galston Gorge campsite team. This is a fantastic opportunity to use your maintenance and groundskeeping skills to support a ministry that has been sharing the gospel with young people for generations.
What You'll Be Doing
Working as part of the Property Team, you will help ensure the campsite grounds, facilities, and activity areas are safe, attractive, and ready for guests. This hands-on role is varied and offers the opportunity to make a tangible difference every day.
Key responsibilities include:
- Grounds maintenance, including lawn mowing and gardening
- General repairs and maintenance
- Painting and decorating
- Basic carpentry and plumbing tasks
- Preparing camp facilities and activities for guest use
- Ensuring the site remains safe, functional, and well presented
- Supporting other operational areas as required
We're Looking for Someone With
- A mature Christian faith and alignment with CRU’s Basis of Belief
- Have practical experience maintaining buildings, grounds, or facilities
- Be able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Hold a current driver's licence
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, guests, and supervisors
- Have a positive attitude and a genuine desire to serve others
- Take pride in maintaining high standards of presentation
- Ability to perform the physical demands associated with the position in a safe and efficient manner
Desirable
- Trade qualifications or relevant trade experience
- Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
