International China Concern (ICC) is a Christian not-for-profit development organization bringing love, hope and opportunity to some of the most vulnerable children and families in China – children with a disability. As one of a restricted number of NGOs legally registered to work in China, ICC has a unique opportunity to enable children with disabilities to thrive and contribute to positive shifts within China’s social welfare system.
ICC Australia is seeking a Volunteer Company Secretary to work alongside our Board Chair and National Director, helping ensure effective governance, compliance and board administration as we pursue our mission to serve children with disabilities in China. It is an exciting time for ICC Australia, with a new five-year strategy launching across all offices globally, and the Company Secretary will help keep the governance foundations behind it strong.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate Board meetings, agendas and minutes
- Maintain governance records and statutory registers
- Support ACNC and Corporations Act compliance
- Assist with AGM administration and annual reporting
- Support ongoing improvement of governance systems and processes
About You
- Experience in governance, legal, compliance, company secretarial or board administration roles, or a willingness to learn. Previous board or governance experience highly regarded but not required.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written communication skills
- Commitment to Christian mission and values
Time Commitment
Approximately five Board meetings per year (mostly online), one annual Strategy Day, plus preparation and follow-up work.
