Mueller Community Church

 

Mueller Community Church (MCC) in Rothwell (north Brisbane) is seeking expressions of interest for the full-time position of Next Generation Pastor.

Mueller Community Church is an evangelical church with strong emphasis on worship and Bible teaching. MCC recognises the necessity for us as Christ followers being empowered by the Holy Spirit for godly living and effective service.

MCC is a member of Christian Community Churches of Australia (CCCAust) servicing the Redcliffe Peninsula. The church is part of the wider Mueller community, which includes Mueller College (Prep to Year 12), an Early Learning Centre, Outside School Hours Care, Peninsula Palms Retirement Village and residential aged care facility.

 

General Role Description

The Next Generation Pastor leads and oversees volunteers and ministry teams dedicated to age groups from children through young adulthood. The role requires a strategic mindset, administrative skills, and a commitment to recruiting and developing teams focused on the next generation of Jesus followers.

 

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee the following ministry teams: Mueller Kids Church, Mainly Music, Playtime, Youth and Young Adult activities.
  • Equip leaders and volunteers to support children and youth.
  • Oversee curriculum selection, development, and evaluation.
  • Support and equip parents to provide spiritual guidance for their children.
  • Create opportunities for children, youth and young adults to serve.
  • Build relationships across the Mueller campus and develop outreach efforts.

 

Person Specification / Essential Qualifications

  • Mature and energetic Christian faith.
  • Lead with humility and a heart for serving the church.
  • Eager to take initiative and explore new ministry opportunities.
  • Equipped with people skills, displaying emotional intelligence and self-awareness in interactions with others.
  • A lifestyle in alignment with biblical standards for leaders; high level of personal integrity.
  • Competent oral and written communicator.
  • Empathetic and compassionate; displays patience and sincerity with others.
  • A bachelor's degree (or higher) in education, Christian ministry, Biblical studies, or a related field.
  • A clear calling to Next Generation ministries.
  • Relevant spiritual gifts, such as pastoring, leadership, and teaching.
