Donvale Christian College (DCC) is seeking a dynamic and faith-driven Executive Principal to lead our Christ-centred community with wisdom, passion, and strategic vision. As the spiritual, educational, and strategic leader, you will nurture faith, drive academic excellence, and strengthen relationships within our vibrant school community. Position Purpose
The Executive Principal of Donvale Christian College is the spiritual, educational, and strategic leader of the College, responsible for fostering a Christ-centred learning environment that nurtures faith, pursues academic excellence, and enhances relationship with the DCC community.

Reporting to the College Board, the Executive Principal provides visionary leadership that upholds the College’s mission, ensuring alignment with its biblical foundation, values, and strategic direction. They lead the Executive Team in delivering outstanding educational outcomes, stewarding resources wisely, and cultivating a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

The Executive Principal is the primary ambassador for the College, building strong relationships with students, staff, parents, and the wider Christian and educational community. Through servant-hearted leadership, they empower staff, engage with key stakeholders, and ensure the ongoing sustainability and growth of the College in an ever-changing educational landscape.

Key Responsibilities: (abridged; full details in Candidate Information Pack)

Organisational Leadership

  • Provide Christ-centred leadership that upholds and advances the College’s mission, vision, and values.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing SLT, ensuring alignment with the College’s strategic priorities.

Business Management

  • Oversee the financial stewardship of the College, ensuring long-term sustainability and responsible resource management.
  • Contribute with the Board and Company Secretary to develop and implement strategic financial plans, budgets, and capital projects.

Relationships

  • Build and maintain strong, trusting relationships with students, staff, parents, the College Board, the DCC members (the Association), Friends of Donvale (parent/volunteer association) and the broader school community.
  • Act as the primary ambassador for the College, fostering engagement with churches, alumni, government representatives and external partners.

Strategic Leadership

  • Lead the implementation of the College’s strategic plan, ensuring alignment with its Christian ethos and educational priorities.
  • Anticipate, oversee decisive action and respond to emerging trends in education, faith formation, and school governance.
