DIRECTOR OF FINANCE 

For Commencement May 2025 or by negotiation

The Melos Group was established to support the growth of an educational partnership to strengthen the cause of Christian education. The name Melos is derived from the body metaphor of Scripture in which each part adds to and strengthens the whole (Melos being Greek for ‘body’).

Reporting to the Executive Business Manager, the Director of Finance holds a key leadership position within MEL. The Director of Finance leads and manages a team that is responsible for the delivery of financial services in support of the educational function of the organisation and its member schools.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the position of Director of Finance.  The successful applicant will be a dynamic and collaborative team player who is committed to the ministry of Christian education. They will report to the Executive Business Manager and will have:      

• Bachelor of Business/Management, Accounting, Commerce, Economics or equivalent tertiary study/qualification including CPA or CA qualification
• Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary financial management practices and proven analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Ongoing commitment to MEL’s Purpose, Mission, and Statement of Faith;
• Ability to maintain total confidentiality and cultivate credibility and honesty
