Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic part-time Assistant Pastor (Generations) to oversee and develop ministry among the emerging generations within our church and the wider community. The Generations Pastor will work alongside PCC Ministry Directors (MDs) to provide administrative, pastoral and leadership support to our Creche, Kids, and Youth teams, in order to deliver gospel-centred curriculum and biblical teaching in age-appropriate environments. This role requires a leader of leaders who can create dynamic discipleship ecosystems for children and teenagers.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight and direction for emerging generations in consultation with the Senior Pastor.
• Develop and implement ministry strategic goals.

Ministry Coordination and Development

• Develop and implement systematic approaches to connect children, young people, and families to Christ. Organise and distribute weekly curriculum and rosters.
• Working alongside the youth Ministry Director to
  • plan Friday night gatherings for high school students.
  • plan and lead PCC Youth Camps.
• Conduct children and youth ministries to best practice standards, including Sunday School, school ministries, playgroups, Bible study groups, and youth events.

Competency

• Theological/Ministry qualifications or equivalent church leadership experience.
• Minimum of five years of ministry experience in an urban, multi-generational, and multi-cultural church context.
• Must hold a current NSW Working with Children Check and Safe Ministry Training.
• Driver's Licence (Light Rigid preferred) and eligibility to work in Australia.

Hours

19 hours per week (7.5 hours per day on 2 weekdays and 4:00 hours on Sunday)
