Job Description
About the Role This is a parental leave contract with a difference. No two days will be the same if you want to join a dynamic organisation and support a leader who is an influential change-maker. Your role will commence supporting the Partnerships Manager, providing administrative support for the relationship and fundraising activities up to the financial year-end. Following this, you will then support the Chief Executive Officer as the Executive Co-ordinator, managing many and varied activities including travel arrangements, Board meetings, diary management, staff meetings and office management. You will gain a unique insight as you support not only the CEO but also when needed the Senior Leadership team, the Board and staff in organising various events, meetings and relationships.
Desired Skills and Experience
About you
You will be highly organised and detail-orientated with an ability to manage multiple responsibilities. A background in executive support, philanthropy, not for profit management would be advantageous. You may have experience in a senior administrative position, or in marketing administration. You enjoy contributing to the office environment and serving is an extension of who you are. You understand your team or Executive's working style and expectations and you remember the small things! You take initiative and can anticipate the needs even before anyone is aware of them! You are resourceful, and adaptable and your communication skills, both verbal and written, are second to none. You enjoy ordering and are one step ahead and no task is too much for you to manage whether it is booking travel, ordering stationery, managing events, sorting data or assisting with queries.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Alignment to the vision and values of Baptist World Aid.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, in particular, the ability to produce concise, high-quality Executive minutes, reports etc autonomously
- Advanced Microsoft Office (Excel/PowerPoint/word/SharePoint/Teams) skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, employ initiative, prioritise tasks, exercise discretion and a high level of confidentiality and meet deadlines
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills; with the ability to provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience working with Not for profits will be well-regarded
Desirable knowledge Skills and Experience
- Tertiary qualifications in business, marketing or similar areas
