About the Calvary Education Group

The Calvary Education Group is a ministry arm of Calvary Christian Church and consists of Calvary Early Learning Centre, Calvary Christian College (Prep to Year 12), Calvary OSHC (Outside School Hours Care), Calvary Teaching School (in partnership with Christian Heritage College, Brisbane) and Eaton College (Prep to Year 6, for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder).

Founded in 1978, the College began with the conviction that Christian families should be supported by a school that shares their values and that works in partnership with them to produce outstanding young people who become an influence for good in their world.  As the Group has expanded, we continue to exist to provide excellence in education for the children of families who value Christian Education, with a vision to graduate young people of strong Christian character who will become an influence for good in their world. 

 

About the Opportunity

We have an exciting leadership opportunity for an experienced and strategic Business Manager looking for a role with purpose in the education sector to support our next stages of growth!

The Business Manager is responsible for all financial, business and facilities management of Calvary Christian College - including Calvary Early Learning Centre and Calvary OSHC - and Eaton College.

This role is pivotal to the College, ensuring educational delivery is fully supported by excellent financial management, operational/administrative services and physical facilities. The Business Manager works closely and collaboratively with all members of the College Executive and Summit Teams to continuously develop and improve strategic, administrative and operational practices. The Business Manager will also serve as a central liaison point between Calvary Christian Church and College Team.

 

The Business Manager's key duties and responsibilities relate to:

  • Faith Leadership
  • Business & Organisational Leadership
  • Governance Leadership
  • Team & Community Leadership
  • Administrative & Strategic Leadership

About the Ideal Candidate

Our ideal candidate for the role of Business Manager will have a personal faith in Jesus Christ with the ability to consistently demonstrate a Christian worldview and actively support the Christian ethos of the College.  The successful candidate will also have:

  • a current Working with Children Check (Paid Blue Card) or the ability to attain; 
  • tertiary qualifications in Business Management and/or Accounting, combined with governance experience;
  • demonstrated effective experience in leadership and management in a business setting (specifically an educational institution preferred), displaying leadership skills of a high standard with confirmed professionalism and a proven ability to guide, mentor and develop people;
  • exemplary professional manner, with strong and effective interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills and a demonstrated ability to develop and sustain productive working relationships including the ability to liaise, consult and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders and to effectively resolve conflict.

We are looking for a candidate available to start in the role beginning 30th June 2025 - or sooner by negotiation.
