Phillip Island Adventure Resort (a ministry of Christian Youth Camps Ltd) is seeking a passionate and experienced Operations Manager to join our leadership team and help shape life-changing experiences for thousands of guests each year.
About the Role
Reporting to the Site Manager, the Operations Manager plays a key role in overseeing daily operations across core departments, including Food & Hospitality, Program, Property, Housekeeping and Staff Administration.
You'll mentor and support department heads, uphold safety and compliance standards, respond to day-to-day operational challenges, and help foster a workplace culture grounded in community, joy, and spiritual growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day leadership and coordination across resort departments
- Mentor and support a team of department heads
- Promote a positive and accountable workplace culture
- Manage operational risks, safety, and compliance requirements
- Respond to guest needs and operational issues with care and professionalism
- Contribute to strategic planning, budgeting, and continuous improvement
- Provide pastoral support and spiritual leadership
About You
You’re a confident and collaborative leader with:
- Proven experience in operations, hospitality, or team management
- A heart for ministry and a personal, active Christian faith
- The ability to remain calm, flexible and solutions-focused under pressure
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- A servant-hearted leadership style that builds up and equips others
- A desire to see lives changed through Christian camping and retreat experiences
