MCCOC is a vibrant multicultural church family of 110+ weekly worshippers, representing diverse cultural backgrounds. Located in the City of Monash, we've been faithfully serving our community for over 70 years and are excited about the new season God has prepared for us.

We are a member of Churches of Christ Victoria and Tasmania, committed to biblical teaching, authentic community, and growing disciple-makers across all cultures. Our congregation reflects the beautiful diversity of our local community, creating unique opportunities for cultivating Kingdom advance and sowing seeds of faith.

 

The Opportunity

  • We are seeking a Senior Minister to provide spiritual leadership and guide our church family into an exciting new chapter. This is an opportunity to:
  • Lead a warm, multicultural congregation with strong lay involvement
  • Implement a fresh vision and strategic direction for sustainable growth
  • Build bridges in one of Melbourne's most culturally diverse communities
  • Lead an existing ministry team including Children & Families Minister, Youth & Young Adults Minister, Pastoral Care Minister, and Chinese Minister
  • Partner with collaborative elders and supportive staff
  • Develop community connections through our established presence Mentor and disciple leaders across multiple cultural backgrounds

 

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Bachelor's degree in Theology/Ministry or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years senior minister experience
  • Heart for multicultural ministry and cross-cultural relationships
  • Strong preaching and teaching abilities
  • Collaborative leadership style that empowers others
  • Current or commitment to obtain CCVT accreditation
  • Full Australian working rights

Highly Valued:

  • Master's degree in relevant field
  • Experience in strategic planning or church revitalization
  • Bilingual capabilities (preferred but not essential)
  • Community engagement and partnership development experience
  • Leadership development and mentoring skills
