Operations Manager

Faith-Based Not-for-Profit | Senior Leadership Role

Location: Vista, NSW (with some flexibility)
Employment Type: 0.8 FTE

About Diamond Women

Diamond Women is a faith based NFP that has supported women and families facing unplanned pregnancy for 20 years. We provide free, professional, wrap-around support including counselling, practical assistance, mentoring, and group programs, delivered through in-person services, phone support, and telehealth.

Our work is deeply relational, values-driven, and emotionally complex  - and it is underpinned by strong governance, professional standards, and a commitment to excellence.

As we continue to grow in reach, programs, and fundraising activity, we are seeking a senior Operations Manager to strengthen the internal engine of the organisation and enable sustainable impact.

About the Role

This is a senior operational leadership role, reporting directly to the CEO.

The Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring Diamond Women runs calmly, professionally, and effectively behind the scenes, so that services can be delivered with excellence and fundraising activity can be executed without chaos or burnout.

This role is not a stepping-stone position. It is suited to someone who has already carried significant operational responsibility and is comfortable leading in a founder-led, faith-based environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Full ownership of day-to-day operations, systems, and internal workflows
  • Oversight of administration, office management, and operational compliance
  • Coordination and support of staff and volunteers (non-clinical)
  • Operational delivery of fundraising events and campaigns (logistics, timelines, budgets)
  • Providing structure and accountability to marketing workflows (briefs, deadlines, approvals)
  • Building repeatable systems, processes, and handovers to support growth
  • Reducing reliance on the CEO for operational decision-making

This role does not set marketing or fundraising strategy, but ensures those strategies can be executed well.

About You

This role will suit someone who:

  • Has managed operations in a complex organisation (not-for-profit, education, health, or community sector experience highly regarded)
  • Is confident making decisions and holding accountability without constant direction
  • Is comfortable addressing issues early, kindly, and clearly
  • Enjoys creating order out of complexity
  • Is aligned with Christian faith and values, and comfortable working in a faith-based environment

This Role Is Not For Someone Who

  • Is looking to “step up” into leadership for the first time
  • Avoids difficult conversations
  • Needs frequent reassurance or close supervision
  • Wants to be the public face of an organisation

Why This Role Matters

Every system you strengthen, every process you stabilise, and every event you help deliver well directly impacts women facing crisis - because it keeps our doors open, our staff supported, and our services available when they’re needed most.

This is quiet leadership with profound impact.

How to Apply

Please submit via email to info@diamondwomen.com.au

  • Your CV
  • A brief cover letter outlining your experience and why you feel aligned with this role and our mission

Applications will be reviewed as they are received.
